Beaches around Saint-Tropez

Pampelonne :

Pampelonne Beach, located in Ramatuelle, near Saint-Tropez, is renowned for its stunning stretches of fine golden sand, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and vibrant beach clubs. It’s a hotspot for celebrities and tourists alike, offering a mix of relaxation and luxury with its beachfront restaurants, trendy bars, and chic atmosphere. The beach is quite expansive, allowing for various water sports and leisure activities, all against the backdrop of beautiful Mediterranean scenery.

You will enjoy a nice lunch in one of the many beach restaurants after a relaxing bath in the pristine Mediterranean sea

Highly recommended of course..

Saint-Tropez Beaches :

  • La Bouillabaisse : At the entrance of Saint Tropez, facing the Gulf, this small beach enjoys a nice restaurant with great views
  • Les Canoubiers :  In between the village and Les Parcs, very quiet, protected and shallow beach to relax when mosquitoes are not too aggressive..
  • Plage des Salins : At the end of the “Presqu’ile de Saint Tropez”, right next to La Moutte, this beach is very pleasant, enjoying turquoise waters even if part of it is often covered by seaweed. Facing the open sea, the beach enjoys a very nice restaurant where you can have lunch directly on the sand
  • Plage des Graniers : Confidential cute beach right next to the village, behind Saint Tropez famous graveyard. Small but nice atmosphere

Close by Beaches :

  • Plage de l’Escalet :   Quite small beach, with half sand, half rocks and beautiful waters, close to the path leading a bit further away to Cap Taillat
  • Plage du Cap Taillat :  This whole area is a pure jewel, very wild as not so easy to reach, except by boat. Cristal clear turquoise waters and a small protected little baie will bring you pure bliss. Definitely worth going there, either by boat, or by car followed by a little 20-30 min beautiful walk.. Taillat
  • Plage de Gigaro :  This is the largest sand beach in La Croix Valmer, quite narrow in some places. Nice place but the sand is not always the finest.

If you have a Yacht or a Sailboat...

Our favorite places to go to are :

  • Cap Taillat :  This whole area is a pure jewel, very wild as not so easy to reach, except by boat. Cristal clear turquoise waters and a small protected little baie will bring you pure bliss. Definitely worth going there, either by boat, or by car followed by a little 20-30 min beautiful walk..
  • Ile de Port-Cros :  With its stunning protected National Parc created in 1963, Port Cros is the wildest and most protected of the 3 “Golden Islands”. By yacht, it will take you between 1:00 and 1:30 to go there from Saint Tropez, and it is definitely worth it ! This place is great for diving, and the island is pure beauty.
  • Ile de Porquerolles :  Just a bit further away than Port Cros from Saint-Tropez, Porquerolles is another amazing island that you will fall in love with for its beautiful forests, landscapes, beaches or cristal waters great for diving !  Also worth a visit : the Fondation CARMIGNAC
  • Iles de Lérins :  These 2 islands (Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat) which are facing Cannes in its baie, are very protected and offer beautiful fauna as well as flora. Nice to discover riding bikes..
  • Calanques de l’Estérel : Very difficult to access if not by the sea, but definitely worth the trip to discover these beautiful coves inside the red rocks of Esterel and the translucent sea. Gorgeous !
